Forty –two Special Police Constables, (SPCs) were ushered into Course # 34 of the Royal St. Lucia Police Force Training School on Monday, 17 August, 2015, in an atmosphere of inspiration and goodwill.

Among the inspirational speakers of the day was Superintendent of Police with responsibility for Training and Corporate Services Crusita Pelius.

She noted that it was an accomplishment for the organization to witness this exclusive opportunity which has been afforded to Special Police Constables for the first time ever in the history of the RSLPF.

As a result of the training, the SPCs will eventually be promoted to full-fledged members of the force.

Acting Commissioner of Police Mr. Errol Alexander also delivered a very motivational address to the SPCs, underscoring his expectations for nothing short of an excellent performance from every participant.

“You deserve a chance to become Police Officers. Most of you have worked so hard in your careers as Special Police Constables. What you should do is translate this hard work into your training. Cement that training and move up to another level.”

Mr. Alexander also advised the SPCs that the programme would be intensive and that they should challenge themselves to give of their best
