NOTICE: Road closure for Monday’s military funeral service for SPC Louis

SPC Louis died while helping a group of persons during the Christmas Eve trough.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) would like to inform the motoring public that on Monday, January 6, 2014, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., the following roads will be closed to facilitate the Military Funeral Service of SPC 4 Calvin Louis at the Victory Pentecostal Church in Cedar Heights, Vieux Fort.

The road closure is to allow police officers to parade from the Vieux Fort /Laborie Highway near the Special Services Unit base to the Victory Pentecostal Church at Cedar Heights, Vieux Fort.

* Junction of Vieux Fort Industrial Estate near the Gablewoods Shopping Mall and the Vieux Fort/ Laborie Highway.
* Junction of Laborie Vieux Fort Highway and Clark Street near the Southern Taxi Association Gas Station.
* Junction of St Jude Highway near the Windward and Leeward Brewery and La Ressource Highroad near the Rubis Gas Station.
* Junction of Black Bay Road near the LIME Exchange Facility and Hewannorra Orchid

All vehicles travelling from Vieux Fort to Laborie and its environs should do so via the Beanfield Road near the Vieux Fort Police Station, left onto La Ressource Road near the George Odlum Stadium and right onto St. Jude Highway into Augier.

All vehicles travelling from Laborie and surrounding areas to Vieux Fort should make a left turn into the Laborie/Augier Highroad onto the St. Jude Highway, left onto the La Ressource road, right onto Beanfield and into Vieux Fort.

When the parade and procession gets onto the St. Jude Highway, no vehicle will be allowed to turn left onto the Vieux fort Industrial Estate Road near the Gablewoods Shopping Mall.

All vehicular traffic accessing the Vieux Fort/ Laborie Highway will return to normalcy after the parade has gone into the St. Jude Highway. However the St. Jude Highway with its junction with the Laborie/Vieux Fort Highway will return to normal after the procession has ended.

The RSLPF sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to the motoring public.
