St. Lucia News Online has confirmed reports that a resident of New Dock Road, Vieux Fort has been detained at custody suites for attempting to leave the island via the George Charles Airport this morning with a controlled (illegal) substance: nine packages of green plant material suspected to be cannabis.
The 28-year-old man was about to board a LIAT flight to Barbados at about 10:10 am today, sources say.
