Forty-year-old Alfred Wayne Simeon is accused of unlawful possession of cocaine, unlawful possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation. Simeon arrived in the island by air from St Lucia and having cleared immigration, he was stopped and interviewed by police.
On completion of this interview suspicions were aroused and he was referred to Customs to have his luggage and person searched.
This search allegedly revealed two transparent wrapped packages containing powdered cocaine concealed inside his underwear.
Simeon was taken into custody by the police who conducted further investigations. He was later referred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where police say he passed out 14 taped packages containing powdered cocaine.
