Two Vincentians were among six men intercepted by police on a boat with suspected cannabis on Tuesday.
They were caught by officers attached to the Marine Unit of Vieux Fort on a boat named “Jehovah,” about four nautical miles southeast of Moule A Chique, Vieux Fort.
Police reportedly found some 174 pounds of dry plant material suspected to be cannabis during a search on the boat.
The men in police custody include two St. Vincent nationals and four St. Lucians. They are expected to be arraigned at the Second District Court at Vieux Fort on Friday, March 7, 2014 for drug-related offences.
