Three persons who were held in police custody this week in connection with the disappearance of Laborie native David Renee have been released, however the Renee family are not giving hope in solving this case.

Relatives told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) on Saturday that they are contemplating offering a monetary reward for information leading to the discovery of their loved one who has been missing since Jan. 4. 2017.

The three persons – two males and a females – were taken into police custody on Wednesday, but released today, Saturday, June 10, 2017, without charge, relatives and law enforcement sources told SNO.

According to the sources, police are continuing their investigations and are still looking into a large number of tips from the public.

David, originally from Banse La Grace, Laborie but was living at Cedar Heights, Vieux Fort at the time of his disappearance, would have celebrated his 47th birthday on March 1.

The unemployed and unmarried father of two children was reportedly experiencing financial difficulties when he went missing.

His vehicle was discovered in an isolated area and eyewitnesses claimed that he was seen loading furnishings onto a vehicle the last day he was seen.

Relatives said they need closure, whether David is found dead or alive.
