(SNO) — A private motor vehicle belonging to a police officer was destroyed by fire near the Canaries Police Station on Sunday, Sept. 9.
The Soufriere Fire Station responded to the incident at about 2:26 a.m.
The vehicle was parked less than three feet away from the station.
According to law enforcement sources, the incident is being treated as arson.
“The motive is believed to be retaliation. The officer is the most effective officer in Canaries,” one person commented on social media with elaborating.
