A search is currently underway for a young man who has been missing for about two weeks now.
Missing is Linus Y. Constantine, chairman of St. Lucia Youth talk and former student of the Leon Hess Comprehensive School.
Relatives have just begun to circulate ‘missing posters’ of Constantine via Facebook. St. Lucia News Online is not yet able to confirm if the matter has been reported to the police.
Constantine’s sister, Mindy Chicot, appealed for information via Facebook.
“If anyone has been in contact with him or has seen him recently please inbox me with details or contact me on telephone number 285-5066. Please any information would be useful,” Chicot said in her Facebook post.
In response to Chicot’s social media post, several persons have advised her to contact the police regarding the decomposing body that was discovered on the Marisule beach in Gros Islet on Tuesday, April 15 about 2 p.m. The body is yet to be identified.
Police said the body, which is that of a young male, was found covered with a sheet by a female passerby.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF), in a statement, had appealed to persons who may be missing a family member or a friend to contact the Gros Islet Police Station.
“Persons with information that can assist with this investigation should also contact the Gros Islet Police Station at telephone number 456-3830,” police said.
