PRESS RELEASE - United Youth joins Nigerians and the rest of the world in denouncing the criminal and cowardly act of the Boko Haram Islamist Extremist group which has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping of more than 300 school girls from the Chibok Government Girls Secondary School on April 16, 2014.

To date, over 276 girls are still being held captive.

This is a crime not only against the girls being held captive but against youth worldwide. United Youth asks all St. Lucians to hold hands with the rest of the world to pray and rally for the safe return of each and every girl.

We further request that our foreign affairs minister and overseas representatives at the various missions join the rest of the world in sending a very strong statement to the kidnappers of those young women.
