Pavee stab victim Felicity Florton is on the road to recovery, her mother Heather Charles told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) yesterday, July 28.
“She is still in a lot of pain but there have been no further complications…,” Charles explained.
The mother further stated that Florton has been receiving counselling from a guidance counsellor at her school in efforts to put the tragic moment behind.
Charles told SNO that she is still faced with an EC$4,000 hospital bill, but was advised by an officer dealing with the matter to present the bills at the next court hearing.
Florton, a 15-year-old George Charles Secondary School student, was stabbed multiple times in Pavee, Castries by 18-year-old Stephon Joseph of Pavee, Castries on Thursday, June 12.
“No one from Joseph’s family tried to make any contact with me, no mother, father or anyone in connection with the matter,” Charles said.
Joseph is expected to make a next court appearance on August 9.
