POLICE PRESS RELEASE - About 6:05 p.m. on Monday, September 1, 2014, officers attached to the Babonneau Police Station conducted an operation at Morne Assau, Babonneau.
During the operation, officers searched the premises and property of 40-year-old Elias Emmanuel of Morne Assau, Babonneau. During the search, the officers uprooted and destroyed 102 Marijuana Plants. Also, a quantity of dry plant material suspected to be Cannabis was recovered.
Emmanuel was subsequently arrested and charged for Possession of a Controlled Drug and Cultivation of a Controlled Drug. He appeared before the First District Court in Castries where he was bailed in the sum of $2,500.00 cash or suitable surety on each charge.
He is expected to make another court appearance on September 26, 2014.
