Four persons including a Canadian national have been remanded in custody for a drug bust in Rodney Bay, Gros Islet last Saturday, July 27, 2013, court records reveal.
Crispin Polius of Massade, Gros Islet; Neville Edwards of Bocage, Castries; Peter Hippolyte of Hospital Road, Castries and Amber Schultz of Canada were arrested last Saturday afternoon for the possession of 11 kilos of cocaine in Rodney Bay.
They appeared in the Gros Islet Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Velon John on Monday, July 29, 2013.
John ordered them remanded.
The accused persons are expected to make an application for bail in the High Court based on the quantity of the drugs.
St. Lucia News Online is still hoping to get additional information about this drug bust and several others from the Police Public Relations Office after submitting a written request twice to the Office, on July 29 and July 31.
