A female allegedly responsible for dumping the body of a baby boy in Ravine Chabot, Castries on August 21 was released from hospital, Police Press Officer Aniel Innocent has said.
Innocent told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) today, September, 22 that the female, who is in early 20’s, is currently assisting police with the investigations.
A source had told SNO that the mother had been experiencing complications in relation to the alleged abortion prior to her admittance into the hospital.
The baby was discovered in a black plastic bag in the community and was transported to Victoria Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police are expected to lay charges against her.
