PRESS RELEASE - On Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at approximately 5 p.m. the body of an unknown male was found in the general area of River Doree, Fond St. Jacques.
Subsequently, police confirmed the body to be that of 31 year old, McDonald St. Rose. A postmortem examination on the body was conducted on Monday, October 13, 2014. The cause of death has been stated as hemorrhagic shock, secondary to gunshot injury.
The body of St. Rose, who is reportedly from Gros Islet but resided in Vieux Fort, was discovered in the same general area as was homicide victim, Victor Jn. Phillip, whose body was also recovered on Wednesday, October 08, 2014.
Meanwhile, the post mortem examination results of Victor Jn. Phillip, of Fond St. Jacque, also carried out on Monday, October 13, 2014, indicates that he succumbed as a result of brain damage secondary to gunshot injury.
