Marine officials have been dispatched to Babonneau, to locate the body of a missing male who is suspected to have drowned.
St. Lucia News Online (SNO) understands that the victim’s name is Eddy, who resides in Garrand, Babonneau. Reports are that Eddy fell into the sea and never resurfaced.
A top marine official had told SNO earlier that the report was made at about 3:55.p.m today that one male from Babonneau was swept away in the sea.
The official said that four other men were on the same boat on a sailing expedition, during the time of the incident.
However, the details are still sketchy at this time. Police officials were also been dispatched to the area. When SNO made contact with the police and marine at 6:20.p.m, both teams were still at the scene and no further information were provided.
