Two farmers were arrested on Thursday last for being involved in the production of a controlled drug on a plantation at Fond St. Jacques, Soufriere.
The men, identified as Dennyson Willie of Soufriere and John Lawrence of Desruisseaux were jointly charged and are expected to make their first court appearance today.
Over 7,000 cannabis plants, 20,000 seedlings and 300 pounds of dry cannabis were recovered and destroyed in the eradication exercise.
