Investigations into the death of an elderly woman who was found in a bathtub on April 26, is now being treated as a homicide.
Police were investigating the case as a possible sudden death at first.
However, based on the strange circumstances under which she died, the case is now being handled differently.
St. Lucia News Online (SNO) understands that two persons were taken into custody and questioned with regards to the elderly woman’s death.
The body of Mary Dupree, 83, was discovered in a bathtub at a home in Sunny Acres on Sunday at about 6:30 p.m., police said.
Dupree’s body was discovered by neighbours who became suspicious after not seeing her for a couple days.
A police officer has been stationed at the crime scene and the area has been cordoned off.
