A Babonneau family is now relieved after a missing loved one was found alive and well.
Wallace Jonas, 56, of Chassin, Babonneau was found by police in Dennery at about 10 a.m. on Sunday, relatives have told St. Lucia News Online (SNO).
Wallace, also known as Lotto, was transported by Babonneau cops back to his home, relatives said.
The family called on the media for help after Wallace and his 28-year-old nephew Ray Jonas went missing on Friday morning.
Shortly after both men were spotted in Aux Lyon, Dennery, Ray was discovered by Micoud police at about 1 a.m. on Saturday, but Wallace was nowhere to be found, though the family received reports that he was seen in Vieux Fort.
Now that both men are home, the family has expressed gratitude to members of the public and SNO for their help.
“From time the story was published we started getting calls,” one relative told SNO.
Relatives said Wallace and Jonas are not of unsound mind, but just very “slow” compared to the average person.
