The family of an ex-policeman, who was found hanging under mysterious circumstances on Sunday, believes he was killed somewhere and hanged in the forested area to fake a suicide.
Denis Faucher, alias Two-pence was last seen around 4:30.p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016.
Faucher, 67, had left his dog home, something relatives said was unusual. He was also found without shoes.
His brother, Albert Faucher, told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) on Monday: “He was kidnapped.. I believe and brought there and I think he was killed.”
Albert said he was very close to his brother and at no time did he ever discuss having any problems. He lives a normal life and had no trouble with people, he stated.
The man’s daughter, Pearlina told SNO that she also finds it strange that her father would leave his home without footwear and his dog, which he is known to take everywhere with him.
A search party was put together with the help of Special Service Unit officers, who went in search for him last week, at Mahaut and part of the beach front, but they came up empty handed.
Relatives decided to conduct another search for Faucher on Sunday, when they discovered his body hanging from a tree at Escap, Micoud.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled for Tuesday, September 5, 2016.
