An ex-police officer who was reported missing since Saturday, August 20, 2016, was found by relatives hanging from a tree in Escap, Micoud on Sunday.
The discovery was made around 4.p.m.
Denis Faucher, alias Two-pence, who resided in Micoud was last seen around 4:30.p.m. the same day he went missing, his daughter Pearlina Faucher told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) on Friday.
A search party was put together with the help of Special Service Unit officers, who went in search for him last week, at Mahaut and part of the beach front, but they came up empty handed.
Relatives decided to conduct another search for Faucher on Sunday, when they discovered his body.
Pearlina told SNO that her father’s body was discovered without shoes, which is strange.
Relatives said the 67-year-old father of 9 left his dog tied at home, sometime he never does.
Pearlina said she last spoke to her father the day before he went missing and he sounded “joyous.”
Police were called to the crime scene and are conducting their investigations.
