The Police town hall meeting held by the Royal St. Lucia Police Force meant to quiz locals of Castries on how to best fight crime in the town was attended by only a handful of people.
SNO’s representative at the meeting only spotted a few residents in attendants while a fulling decked out panel including the new Police Commissioner Severin Moncherry waited for the resident’s say on the town’s crime problem.
Shortly after the meeting Castries experienced one of the bloodiest nights on record with two persons being killed mere minutes apart in the town.
The Police town hall meetings were conceived as a way to get resident’s input on ways the Police can better fight crime in the communities of St. Lucia.
