A man believed to be a French national is on the run after he escaped police custody on Tuesday March 4, 2014.
According to a Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) Aniel Innocent, Estaphane Buick, who was being questioned by local authorities regarding his immigration status fled from their custody, while receiving medical attention at health care institution for injuries he sustained during a motorcycle accident.
The suspect was described as medium built and stands at 4 feet 9 inches. At the time of the escape, he was wearing a green shirt and black “three-quarter” pants. He also wore cornrows. The escape occurred at 11:30 a.m.
The man in question, according to Innocent, used to reside at Bagatelle and had only been held for questioning as he could not give an account of his time spent here in Saint Lucia.
