A Des Barras man is in police custody after been arrested during an operation on a marijuana plantation at Des Barras, Babonneau about 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. This operation was conducted by officers attached to the Drug Unit.
During the operation, the officers recovered a shot gun and four rounds of 12 gauge ammunition. A man who was present on the plantation was arrested for the offences of Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Ammunition,Cultivation of a Controlled Drug and Possession of a Controlled Drug.
Charges are expected to be laid against him shortly.
