Police sources have confirmed that man was stabbed outside Mega J earlier this afternoon.
Jamal Dolor, 38, of Vieux Fort who now lives in Morne Du Don, was reportedly stabbed by a known assailant outside the business establishment in front of shocked onlookers.
Sources say Dolor sustained two knife wounds to the upper back and left thigh.
He was brought into the Victoria Hospital emergency room about 3:40 pm. He is currently in stable condition.
An eyewitnesses said Dolor was “going about his business” when he was suddenly confronted by the man who began stabbing despite pleas from others to stop.
“Masaiy, heartless, people tried to get involved but the man kept throwing stabs at mate,” the eyewitness said.
Another eyewitness said it did not appear that Dolor was the aggressor.
“
