A 19-year-old is now recuperating at home after he was stabbed on Friday, Sept. 5 when he allegedly attempted to defend a relative.
Devon Eugene told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) on Sunday that he sustained two stab wounds to his abdomen and waist.
The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. near the La Croix bus stop.
Eugene said his cousin, a high school student, was hit with a plastic water bottle by another student.
“So I remove my cousin out of the way and push the one who hit him and his brother say ‘what happen?’ twice and we started to fight. I didn’t know I got stabbed. It was my friend who told me,” the supermarket employee told SNO.
He said the male who stabbed him is not a high school student.
On that day several fights broke out among students and also involved injuries.
