One man was yesterday taken into custody in relation to the attack on a bus driver along the Vieux Fort-Laborie Highway on Jan. 2.
Reliable sources have told St. Lucia News Online that the suspect is from Micoud. At least one other person is assisting police with investigations.
An attempt by two bandits to rob a bus with eight people proved futile when the driver, Kennedy Joseph of Morne Jacque, Choiseul, fought back valiantly.
The 42-year-old carpenter sustained a wound to the arm that required three stitches, but no one else was hurt in the attack that occurred around 1:30 a.m. along the Vieux Fort-Laborie Highway.
The perpetrators were not wearing masks.
