Residents of Babonneau can expect to have a fully operational police station in their community as early as this month.
That’s according to Police Commissioner Vernon Francois who met with individuals from that community last Thursday night.
The event formed part of the community policing initiative which is expected to help forge and strengthen good relationships between the community and the force.
Francois explained that a team of police officers have already been identified to man the base in the Babonneau community.
The police commissioner pointed to some of the areas of concern for the farming community which the lawmen are taking very seriously.
